The ICFS Pilot course is up and running!
The participants in the first Pilot Course of International Certified Future Strategist met in Brussels 27-29 November. We were happy to welcome 18 persons from seven countries for the first module of the pilot phase of the International Certified Future Strategist.
Have a look at what they have to say about the course!
Companies and organizations act in an increasingly complex environment. The speed of change is tremendous. In order to successfully cope with rapid change companies need to understand their business environment as well as the future development. That is why through this project we aim at developing a tailored education program with the objective of leading to International Certified Future Strategist (ICFS) and a new job category in Europe.
Today there is no such profession in Europe and we see the urgent need for one to be developed and explored, should Europe be able to successfully compete with other regions of the world. Only by understanding the rapidly changing and increasingly complex world can Europe take a lead. The Future Strategist is vital to this aim.
By May 2014, it is planned to test the different course modules on the target groups. For each module we will invite a few clients – end users – from each of the partners’ countries. Through training and learning by the end-users in future strategies, the end users themselves will play a key role in the long-term development and adaptation of the ICFS to the future labor market needs.
The project started in October 2012 with the cooperation of six European organizations and will be finished in September 2014. The idea is to have the education program running by 2015. The duration of the International Certified Future Strategist (ICFS) course will be in the range of 6-12 months, 3-4 days at a time at regular intervals with home assignments in between.
